Agreement to these terms
By using lifestyleroot.com, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site — that’s the whole of it.
These terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle your information.
The nature of our advice
Everything we publish is general information about homes, organizing and decor. It’s written for a broad audience, not for your specific home, your budget, your lease or your circumstances.
We research and test what we publish, and we correct it when we get it wrong. But we can’t guarantee that a method that worked in one home will work in yours, that a product we mention is still available at the price quoted, or that an article written last year is still accurate today.
Where you need a professional
Nothing here is professional advice. Anything involving electrics, plumbing, gas, structural changes, asbestos, or your rights as a tenant needs a qualified professional — an electrician, a plumber, a surveyor, or a housing adviser. A home blog is not a substitute for any of them.
Safety and your own judgement
You’re responsible for deciding whether any suggestion here is appropriate and safe for your home. Please use your own judgement, particularly around:
- Lifting and moving furniture. Get help. Furniture is heavier than it looks and backs are easier to injure than people expect.
- Working at height. High shelves and storage often mean ladders. Falls are the most common serious home injury.
- Cleaning products. Never mix them. Follow the label, ventilate the room, and keep them away from children and pets.
- Rented homes. Check your tenancy agreement before making changes. Some things that seem trivial — shelves, hooks, paint — can affect your deposit.
- Disposal. Electronics, batteries, paint and medication have specific disposal routes in your area. Don’t put them in the household bin.
If you’re unsure whether something is safe for you to do, it probably isn’t. Get someone qualified.

Ask us. We often say yes to reasonable requests, and it costs you one email.
What you may and may not do
When using this site, please don’t:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system.
- Introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt or overload the site.
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content at scale.
- Misrepresent yourself as connected with LifestyleRoot.
- Use the site for anything unlawful.
We may restrict access where any of the above is happening.
Comments and submissions
If you send us a correction, a guide request, a pitch or any other material, you keep ownership of it. You also give us permission to use it in connection with the site — to publish a correction, or to act on a request.
Please only send us material you have the right to send. Don’t send anything confidential; email isn’t a secure channel and we can’t treat it as one.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites where they’re useful. We don’t control them, we don’t endorse everything on them, and we’re not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Once you follow a link away from here, their rules apply.
Affiliate links and advertising
At present LifestyleRoot carries no advertising, no sponsored posts and no affiliate links. Nothing on this site is a paid placement, and no company pays to be recommended here.
If that changes, we’ll say so here and on the About page, and any article containing an affiliate link will carry a clear disclosure at the top of that article — not buried at the bottom. Our recommendations will stay based on what we think is genuinely good.
Availability
We try to keep the site running and up to date, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it without notice.
Articles are updated over time. The date shown on an article is when it was last reviewed, and older guides may not reflect current products, prices or regulations.
Limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LifestyleRoot is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here — including damage to property, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from following a suggestion in an article.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
If you’re a consumer elsewhere, this doesn’t remove protections you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised version.
For material changes, we’ll flag it in the newsletter rather than editing quietly.
